Letters silakinglobe.gif (22847 bytes)

I received a copy of Silak, January-June, 1998 issue. Thank you for sending me one even without its corresponding financial obligation.

My children and I enjoyed reading every article in it especially that of Mr. Abner Faminiano. We felt proud being a Bantoanon. We can truly trace our roots as a people and certainly appreciate the heritage our fathers gave us. We hope reading more of this kind in future issues of Silak. It’s also enlightening to know that we can surf Banton in the internet. Wala lang kami nito. If I may suggest, it would be good for your readers if you can provide a brief narrative introduction of the authors/writers. This will offer your readers especially young Bantoanons an appreciation of their valuable contribution to the enrichment of Bantoanon literature or send them commendation for their efforts.

Thank you again. I wish to write you long enough for my many observations about Silak and hopefully, contribute to its improvement. – Jun Fadrilan, Quezon City, 8/1/98
